Bubblegum
Bubblegum is said to have originated by growers in Indiana before making its way to Amsterdam, where TH Seeds made the first official variety of what we today know to be Bubblegum. The strain put forward in 1993 by TH Seeds would go on to win 4 awards in the High Times Cannabis Cup, possibly the most prestigious cannabis award on the planet. It came first in 1994 and 1995, while finishing second in 1995 and 1999. Bubblegum is a well-balanced 60% Indica dominant strain that is known to induce creativity and euphoria. The original genetics of Bubblegum remain unknown, the form that made its way from Indiana to Amsterdam being a clone. The strain grows as a short plant, usually growing between 120 to 160 centimeters, and is relatively easy to grow. Beginners can grow this strain but should be wary that plants need to be carefully clipped to control height, since this particular strain has less side-branching. Bubblegum has a distinct aroma that can only be described as bubblegum. Bubblegum is a wonderful social and recreational strain. The issue with the strain is that it will induce sleep at some stage and larger quantities will result in a quicker couchlock. This classic is available all over the world including the USA, widely popular on both the medical and grey/white/black market. It has a moderate THC content that ranges between 16-19% and is an easy strain to manage with few side effects. It is a happy and pleasant strain that will drive users to giggles and positivity. It has a perfect balance between Indica and Sativa that leaves smokers engaged, happy, uplifted and relaxed without the most common side effect of marijuana – sleep. The strain is also very easy to grow and offers high yields, which adds to its appeal.
