Casey Jones

The Casey Jones strain is named after a famous train conductor who was killed in a train wreck in Mississippi in 1900, after spending the last moments of his life saving his passengers. Casey Jones is a mix between Oriental Express and East Coast Sour Diesel and it is an 80% Sativa dominant strain. Trainwreck has a powerful THC content that ranges between 18-22% and is a hugely uplifting, inspirational and creative strain of marijuana. The effects of this strain are felt immediately, and it is best used in the morning. The effects last up to 90 minutes and it is not the best strain to recommended to beginners. It is a nice, moderate and light sativa that provides a euphoric uplift with no raciness or dizziness that often accompanies Sativa dominant varieties. This is a wonderful functional strain and does not often put people in their own world or their own mental head space. Users can be full of bliss and euphoria while still holding conversations and getting things done. It is an amazing creative strain as it brings out new ways of seeing things and new concepts and pieces of information. Users are alert, full of energy and ready to go with little side effects or heaviness, though the 20% Indica does supply some groundedness. Casey Jones has a short flowering time between 6-8 weeks and is said to be a very easy strain to grow, suitable for novice growers. The downside is that the yield of this strain tends to be rather moderate, in the range of 200-400 grams per square meter indoors.  Casey Jones grows best indoors in a Sea of Green setup though it can be grown indoors or outdoors, as well as in a hydroponic setup. It is common in all types of market and particularly on the medical scene as it is an effective and highly regarded strain of medical marijuana. It has a flavor of earth and pine with a sweet smell of citrus. Casey Jones is bred by Head Seeds and is one to watch out for, as its popularity is going to grow soon.

Why do Patients Use Casey Jones?

Casey Jones is effective in the treatment of all types of mental and emotional disorders, particularly social anxiety, anxiety in general and depression. This is because it provides a powerful uplift without being too mentally focused or stimulating. Users are given a degree of alertness, energy and happiness while still being fully able to function. Getting this blend right is very rare, as strains are too often heavy and sedating or euphoric and mentally stimulating. Casey Jones provides a wonderful uplifting mix while letting patients still be a better version of themselves. Casey Jones is widely available in medical dispensaries across the West Coast of the USA.
