LSD Strain
LSD is an Indica dominant strain named after the LSD drug with its associated psychedelic properties. LSD marijuana can cause many users to feel more social and creative despite the strong cerebral stimulation which is more commonly associated with problem-solving and inner reflection. This is a very rare effect for an Indica, which is typically known for putting people to sleep, numbing all of their pain, calming the mind and inducing appetite. But LSD also has considerable Indica properties, and all the above effects are felt once the initial waves of cerebral stimulation wear off. LSD was bred by the famous Barney’s Farms in Amsterdam and is a cross between Mazar-I-Sharif and Skunk #1. LSD has a huge THC content of 20-24% and also an unusually high CBD content of up to 1.5%. LSD is only very slightly Indica dominant, at 55%. It is mainly known for its mental stimulation despite being Indica dominant and this is what it is most often used for, both medically and recreationally. Where it really excels is for those people who want to use it for artistic and creative purposes, in the comfort of one’s own home without any type of distractions to let the waves of euphoric creativity flow or to complete a task. LSD has huge yields but it does require moderate growing experience despite being a robust and sturdy plant.
Why do Patients Use LSD?
LSD is a relatively common strain of marijuana with a myriad of medical uses and can be found in many medical dispensaries. The most common uses of this strain of marijuana are to combat stress, anxiety, and depression, and it excels in these areas. But it can also be used to treat chronic pain and insomnia. However, for these conditions, there are many Indicas which are far better suited without going through the wild cerebral stimulation, which many patients do not wish to deal with (though many recreational users buy it for this exact purpose). The strain also has the added benefit that it can be used at any time of the day as the couch lock effects are not overly powerful.
