OG D Strain
OG D is a rare California strain with very little information available. Like all OG Kush variants in the California, much data is missing. It is generally regarded as a 50/50 hybrid, perhaps slightly Sativa dominant. THC, CBD, and parentage remain a mystery with regard to this strain. OG D is a dark green plant with red hairs and few trichomes. It has a smell of diesel and sour cheese, meaning it is most definitely not the most pleasant-smelling strains of marijuana. It has a lemon pine flavor and is a smooth and easy smoke. THC levels are unknown but are not expected to be overly high. OG D buds are quite sticky and dense and you will need to have a good grinder at hand to grind it up effectively. OD has a short flowering time of 7-8 weeks and is an easy strain to grow for novices, though it does do better in tropical outdoor climates which new marijuana cultivators might find difficult to grow in. OG D is actually quite a moderate strain as OG variants go.
Why do Patients Use OG D?
This strain is most commonly recommended for depression, stress and exciting. It is an uplifting and energizing strain and the Indica qualities are not as pronounced as they should be. This makes it an excellent strain in the morning or afternoon, for social events, problems solving or for work in general. It can be used as a pick me up throughout the day. It is not well suited to treating chronic illnesses, and chronic pain in particular, as it is not potent enough and does not have strong enough pain relieving properties. It is likewise not suitable for insomnia, as it would exacerbate the symptoms. It can also be used to treat conditions such as ADHD or ADD, as it is effective for focus and concentration.
