It is an Indica dominant strain that is quite similar to Granddaddy Purple and comes with a THC level that ranges between 16-20%. It should be noted that its exact genetic origins are debated. Some suggest that instead of Granddaddy Purple the father (or mother) of Purple Monkey Balls is actually Mendo Purps, another Indica strain from North California. As with most Indica dominant strains, it has strong body effects with some mild cerebral effects depending on how much Sativa is in the strain – information which is currently unknown. The purple bulb-like buds produce an interesting grape flavored aroma and have a sweet taste that is a mix of pine and blueberries.
