Strawberry Kush Strain
Like all strains with the word strawberry in the name, Strawberry Kush is very well balanced. A cross between OG Kush and the adored Strawberry Cough, Strawberry Kush is a strong but not overpowering strain. Strawberry Kush is an Indica dominant hybrid. THC levels are moderately high at 17-19%, while CBD levels are not known exactly but are generally held to be quite low. The genetics for this strain may vary by the dispensary. Some dispensaries carry more hybrid or Sativa-dominant versions, which may produce opposite, energizing effects. Because there are so many varieties and growing methods it is difficult to give exact data, but it is most commonly a 75% Indica 25% Sativa strain that is grown and sold in medical dispensaries.
Why do Patients Use Strawberry Kush?
Strawberry Kush is a good introductory medical marijuana strain. It is potent but not incredibly strong with moderate THC levels and is an excellent source of stress relief. It is hard to say exactly what the medical benefits are for this because there are so many varieties. However, the Indica dominant variety is best for pain relief and insomnia. Sativa dominant varieties are used to treat depression and anxiety.
